Terms of Service
These Terms govern your access to and use of Ozie’s mobile application, website, and related services.
Effective and last updated: September 4, 2026
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By accessing or using Ozie’s mobile application, website at ozie.io, or related services (together, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
In these Terms, “Ozie,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the team responsible for the Service, and “you” means the person using the Service.
2. Who may use Ozie
You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority where you live, whichever is higher, and able to enter a binding agreement. By entering information about a baby or inviting a caregiver, you confirm that you are authorized to provide and manage that information.
3. What Ozie provides
Ozie is a support and information tool for breastfeeding, pumping, infant feeding, and postpartum wellbeing. Features may include educational content, tracking, reminders, personalized insights, care-team access, and links to additional resources.
Some features may be offered as beta, preview, or early-access functionality. They may be incomplete, change without notice, or occasionally be unavailable.
4. Not medical advice or emergency care
Ozie is not a medical device, healthcare provider, emergency service, or substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Information and suggestions in the Service are general and may not fit your circumstances. Always seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional about questions or concerns involving you or your baby. Never disregard or delay professional care because of information in Ozie.
If you believe you or your baby may be experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number immediately. Do not rely on Ozie to identify, monitor, or respond to an emergency.
5. Accounts and security
You are responsible for providing accurate account information, keeping access to your email, device, and account secure, and notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use. You may sign in using an email code or an available third-party sign-in option such as Google or Apple.
You may not share sign-in codes, misuse another person’s account, or attempt to bypass access controls. We may suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, information, or the Service.
6. Your information and content
You retain ownership of information and content you submit to Ozie. You give Ozie a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process, reproduce, and transmit that information only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for the information you submit and must have the rights and permissions needed to provide it. Do not submit information that is unlawful, misleading, harmful, or that violates another person’s rights.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for an unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful purpose;
- access or attempt to access another person’s account or information without permission;
- interfere with the Service, probe its security, introduce malicious code, or avoid usage limits;
- scrape, copy, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit the Service except where law permits it;
- misrepresent Ozie content as personalized medical advice or an emergency assessment; or
- use the Service in a way that infringes intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights.
8. Third-party services
The Service may rely on or link to third-party services, including authentication, hosting, database, email, analytics, app-store, and healthcare-resource services. Their terms and privacy practices apply to their own services. Ozie does not control and is not responsible for third-party services.
9. Ozie materials and intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, text, graphics, and educational content, is owned by Ozie or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, Ozie gives you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose.
Feedback is welcome. If you provide feedback, you permit us to use it without restriction or payment, provided we do not publicly identify you without permission.
10. Changes, availability, and termination
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features, and we may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will provide notice when required. Continued use after revised Terms take effect means you accept them.
You may stop using Ozie at any time and may request account deletion by emailing hello@ozie.io. We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these Terms, create risk or harm, or if required by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
11. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Ozie disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not guarantee a particular health, feeding, or other outcome from use of the Service.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ozie and its team, suppliers, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of data, or loss of profits arising from or related to the Service. Ozie’s total liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Ozie for the Service during the 12 months before the claim or CAD $100.
These limits do not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including rights you may have under consumer-protection law.
13. Governing law
Unless applicable law requires otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts located in Ontario will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, subject to any mandatory rights you have in your home jurisdiction.
14. General terms
These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the agreement between you and Ozie about the Service. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our permission; Ozie may transfer them as part of a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
15. Contact us
Questions about these Terms can be sent to hello@ozie.io, or through our contact form.
